Sharing My Journey

My family and I moved to the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia, where my professional journey began at 20 years old. Unlike most young people my age, Corporate America groomed me early, exposing me to a diverse clientele that included bank presidents, law enforcement officers, business owners, doctors, and gang members.

Driven by a desire to learn more, my family relocated to Sioux City, Iowa, where I attended Western Iowa Tech Community College, studying Telecommunications Electronics. I earned the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 1st Class Radio License—an achievement held by only 9% of women in the United States. This license allowed me to work in specialized fields such as RF and K-band uplink satellite services.

My passion for working with people and meeting their needs led me to pursue new career directions. I returned to Georgia and became a detention specialist in Cobb County, which marked the start of my legal career. I collaborated with local, state, and federal law enforcement and later transitioned into detention sentencing administration.

As our family grew, we moved to Colorado, where we invested in real estate. I became a top associate broker and, after completing Colorado’s two-year supervision requirement by the Colorado Division of Real Estate, I became an Independent Broker. Expanding my reach as a broker in Colorado and Alabama and worked as an International Agent in Rwanda and Abu Dhabi.

Currently, I hold an American Bar Association-approved Certified Real Estate Paralegal credential and Paralegal Associate Degree from SouthWestern Florida State College. These degrees and experience are a combination of my legal education, Professional Executive Administration, with my passion for real estate.

Continuing with my passion for helping others, I travel locally and internationally on mission assignments. Bringing relief for hurricane victims, school supplies and tuition for international students, and securing property to build school buildings in Rwanda.

The Journey leads me to this point in my career life. As a junior in high school, the staff asked me, “What career would you like to pursue?” My answer was, “Lawyer.” I have completed the internship with the 24th District of the State of Tennessee Attorney General's Office and legal office administration at William T. Looney, Attorney at Law . My journey is not a direct path, but My life’s experiences are fulfilling my desire in becoming a Paralegal/Legal Assistant.
